Camilla is a PhD candidate at the Energy Department of KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden, specializing in energy systems modelling. Her research focuses on enhancing the CLEWs framework, which addresses the intricate interconnections between climate, land, energy, and water systems. She holds a master's degree in Energy for Development from Politecnico di Milano, where her passion for energy modelling began. During her studies, she explored various energy models, including Calliope, Hypatia, and OSeMOSYS, culminating in a master's thesis on near-optimal solutions for decarbonizing the Italian energy sector. She is passionate about teaching and is actively engaged in capacity-building initiatives in Laos, Zambia, and EMP schools, while also being a tutor in energy systems modelling at KTH. She is currently supervising two modelling teams working on CLEWs applications in Kenya and Sri Lanka and is advancing the framework to develop adaptation strategies for Ethiopia and Zambia, promoting smart and resilient resource use.
