Jim Watson is Professor of Energy Policy and Director of the Institute of Sustainable Resources, University College London (UCL). He was previously Director of the UK Energy Research Centre (2013-19) and the Sussex Energy Group, University of Sussex (2008-13). His research focuses on energy, climate mitigation and innovation policies. He has led interdisciplinary research programmes on the UK energy transition, and international collaborations with colleagues in China, India, Ghana and Zambia.
