The India CCG Network Inception Workshop 2024 – Chennai
On 31 January and 1 February the incredible team at the Centre for Climate Change and Disaster Management (CCCDM) at Anna University co-hosted an event with the Climate Compatible Growth programme at the Hyatt Regency – Chennai to launch the beginning of the India CCG Network and partnership between CCG and Anna University. Around 40 people from industry, state government and academia were in attendance to initiate activities within the India CCG Network – Chennai.
At the event, we highlighted the need not only for ‘climate compatible growth’ but also ‘compatible partnerships’ – and how the India CCG Network will be ensuring that we are putting in place the right partnerships that will help us tackle some of the biggest challenges that India is currently facing.
The three key thematic areas of the workshop were: Sustainable Energy Transition; Climate Resilient Cities, and Circular Economy. Where project proposals on these three themes were presented on Day two of the workshop.
We look forward to the evolution of this partnership!
