Advancing Climate Compatible Growth in Zambia through Collaborative Review
On 28 November 2024, CCG, in conjunction with the University of Zambia, hosted a pivotal workshop at the Protea Hotel in Lusaka. The event aimed to provide a critical review and inputs on the CCG Social Network Analysis (SNA) study, evaluating the growth of the Zambia CCG Network, identifying areas for improvement, and informing strategic decision-making. Additionally, the workshop reviewed and provided inputs on the monitoring and evaluation framework of the Country Strategy.
The workshop brought together 25 members from the CCG Zambia Network’s six Special Interest Groups (SIGs): Low-emission Transport SIG, Finance SIG, Clean Cooking SIG, Decentralised Energy Planning SIG, Critical Minerals SIG, and Land-Use SIG. These SIGs unite stakeholders from diverse sectors to share knowledge, expertise, and experiences in addressing climate change mitigation and adaptation in Zambia.
We extend our gratitude to all attendees for their valuable contributions and insights. This collaborative effort is essential for driving forward the CCG programme and ensuring that our strategies are effective and aligned with the needs of our stakeholders. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to work towards a sustainable and climate-resilient future for Zambia.
