CCG shares expertise at high-level Transport forum in Manila.
Mark Howells and Jairo Quiros-Tortos joined colleagues from SLOCAT Partnership on Sustainable, Low Carbon Transport High Volume Transport Applied Research and others at the High-Level 16th Regional Environmentally Sustainable Transport Forum in Asia, at Asian Development Bank (ADB) Headquarters in Manila.
The overall theme was “Sustainable Urban Mobility Solutions-Empowering Cities Towards Low Carbon Pathways for Achieving Co-Benefits and Economic Resilience in the SDGs Era.”
Jairo and Mark presented on the Data-to-Deal framework which has so far mobilised $2.4 Billion for the countries that have used it.
The Key issues raised included:
The importance of capacity-building and strengthening in countries looking to attract clean energy investment.
The idea of applying the D2D concept not just to countries, but to states and even cities.
The need for governments to ensure better interaction between their own ministries and to provide incentives for departments to share data.
Our sincere thanks to Asian Development Bank (ADB) for inviting us – their support sends a clear signal to Governments wondering how to secure their own finance. A great place to start is Data-to-Deal.
