This section lets you search for every academic paper and article produced by the CCG team. You can search by country, person, climate issue (deforestation, waste, finance), type of clean energy (hydrogen, solar) and so on.
Wherever a paper has been published (including on third party sites like Zenodo or by journal providers like Elsevier), this website will bring them together for you via the table below.
It was always part of the CCG plan to make our outputs available like this and we are delighted that it has been achieved through the hard work of our colleague Will Usher and team at KTH, with the support of Loughborough University Library.
THIS SITE ALSO HOLDS ALL THE PUBLICATIONS PRODUCED BY THE PREVIOUS EEG PROJECT, WHICH WE HAVE ADDED TO THE LIBRARY OF RESOURCES HERE. YOU CAN SEARCH THE EEG LIBRARY BELOW.

CCG TEACHING KIT WEBSITE
This separate website contains all the teaching materials that make up the FlatPack Curriculum.
These courses/modules can be integrated into your existing curriculum at your university or training organisation to give your students an introduction to energy modelling tools and practices.
There are several courses/modules available including An introduction to geospatial electrification planning with OnSSET, Financial Modelling for Energy Transitions: MINFin, FinTrack and FinCORE, Mapping and Modelling the Sustainable Development Goals using CLEWs and more. Take a look at the whole selection here.
Starter Data Kits
The Starter Data Kits (SDKs) provide a starting point for energy system modelling by offering zero-order datasets compiled from publicly available, credible data sources, including the World Bank, the International Energy Agency, and others.
The SDKs are model-specific, with each dataset tailored to a particular modelling tool, and are designed as a foundation that enables users to quickly build an initial model and explore scenarios. Additionally, users are encouraged to update and refine the default values with higher-quality data as it becomes available. By reducing the time spent on data collection and preprocessing, the SDKs help accelerate model development while promoting transparency and reproducibility of energy planning analyses.
The latest generation of the SDKs represents an improvement over earlier versions. In addition to expanding data coverage, they provide explicit source attribution for every dataset, improving transparency and traceability, and incorporate geospatial datasets to support spatially explicit analyses and workflows.
We currently provide SDKs for six models: OnSSET, OnStove, NISMOD, MAED, OSeMOSYS, CLEWs. Find them all here.

OUR WORK ON CRITICAL MINERALS – we have a range of publications and updates on our Critical Minerals work:
BEYOND EXTRACTION: VALUE ADDITION FOR AFRICA’S CRITICAL MINERALS:

Video Resources – all CCG Videos are here.
In August 2025 we produced this short video which provides an overview of CCG’s work and objectives. You can watch it here.
We also have a video that goes through the Data-to-Deal process in more detail. Watch that here.
Watch the presentations and discussions from the High-Level Meeting at EMP-A 2025 here.

In addition to the Research Publications held on external sites such as Zenodo and academic journals, we have several Policy Briefs and other documents produced by the CCG team that you may find useful. Often they are summaries of larger papers or introductions to some of CCG’s knowledge products and themes, produced or COP and other events.
