Fernando is a research consultant at CCG. His work is focused on energy system modelling for decarbonization pathways and sustainable development. Fernando's previous research experience has been centered around optimization modelling for energy system planning, hydrogen value chain, and energy-land use-water nexus. He also previously served as a professor of operational research at Universidad Industrial de Santander and energy system modelling at Escuela Colombiana de Ingeniería Julio Garavito in Colombia. In addition, his professional experience includes project planning, laboratory petrophysics evaluation, operations management, and human resources coordination. Fernando holds a Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering (Summa Cum Laude) from Universidad Industrial de Santander.
