The Energy Modelling Programme for Latin America and the Caribbean was held from 4-24 May at Escuela Politécnica Nacional supported also by ESMAP and DESNZ. We were delighted and honoured that the event’s conclusion was celebrated at the British Residence in Ecuador where the participants, trainers and organisers were guests of Libby Green, British Ambassador to Ecuador, and her colleagues Valeria Cadena de la Espriella, Michelle Penaherrera Proano, and María Sol Mora-Villacís. The event was led by Jairo Quiros-Tortos of CCG and Santiago Vaca, of the Escuela Politécnica Nacional and saw 20 participants trained across four tracks – OnSSET, CLEWs, OSeMOSYS and Electricity Transition Playbook. The participants came from Ecuador, Grenada, Brazil, and Colombia. The trainers were: Yoselyn Jimenez (@CLEWs) Alexandra Falcon (OnSSET) and Luis Guillermo (OSeMOSYS).
