Dhruv Singh

Research Assistant

Dhruv Singh is a Research Assistant with Climate Compatible Growth (CCG). He brings two years of experience at the intersection of energy systems and sustainable finance. His research spans both technical modelling and policy applications, with a focus on ensuring that energy transitions in low- and middle-income countries are financially sustainable and socially equitable.

He completed his MSc in Energy Systems and his MPhil in Water Science, Policy and Management (both at the University of Oxford). His work has explored the macroeconomic effects of hydropower intermittencies in different climate scenarios within Zambia. At the Oxford Sustainable Finance Group, he contributed to strengthening disclosure practices by mapping external dependencies in transition plans and adapting international frameworks for the Thai power and banking sectors.

Presently, Dhruv is modelling how tariffs, outages, and solar adoption drive grid defection and equity impacts in Zambia.
