Jessica Omukuti is a Senior Research Fellow at CCG,  based at the University of Oxford’s Smith School of Enterprise and Environment. Her research focus is on the integration of Gender and Social Inclusion (GESI) into climate compatible growth, and will be working on critical minerals and the provision and access to renewable energy.  

Her expertise is on climate justice and equity in transitions to low emissions in developing countries and emerging economies. She has previously researched and published on themes related to climate finance and inclusive net zero.  She is currently serving as a member of the Expert Peer Review Group on Race to Zero, and is a member of the Board of Trustees at WWF UK. She was previously appointed as a member of the United Nations Secretary General’s High Level Expert Group (UNHLEG) on Credibility and Accountability of Net Zero by Non-State Actors. She has also consulted for organisations such as the African Development Bank, UNFCCC, UK FCDO, ODI and the Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty.
