I have 30 years’ experience in marketing and communications, working in education, charity, agency, utilities and local government. I get great satisfaction from helping clients achieve their business objectives through integrated comms that resonate with their target markets. Briefly my experience includes :
– creating marketing/comms strategies and operational plans across all channels
– overseeing the redesign of corporate websites
– developing visual identities and brand values across large organisations
– managing teams and budgets big and small
– building relationships across networks of stakeholders to increase our cumulative impact on shared target markets.
– working with internal colleagues and internal communications to bring about cultural change
My strengths include high levels of creativity in terms of solutions to challenges, excellent writing skills and a focus on practical marketing that delivers results and does it efficiently without wasted effort or money. At CCG I provide strategic and operational Communications support including: managing the CCG website (with Simon Patterson), managing all the CCG and related social media channels, creating web stories that reinforce CCG’s mission eg through the Women In Climate Change interviews and Impact stories from EMP training events. I manage the Communications team which consists of a freelance Editor based in Cambridge and a Freelance Graphic Designer based in South Africa (Sarel Greyling). I oversee the submission and successful handling of design and copy jobs from our colleagues across CCG.
