The first amazing outcome for the Vietnam CCG Network is that The Ministry of Industry and Construction’s research and training think tank, the “Academy of Strategy and Training for Construction Officials” has used CCG-funded research findings.  CCG’s Southern Partnership Fund supported the project “International Technical Assistance for the Circular Economy Action Plan of the Ministry of Construction of Vietnam” which the Ministry has used. It has also used training materials that were developed by Sam Stephenson and CCG Coordinator Dr Nam for the implementation process of the Circular Economy National Action Plan.

The Director General of the Academy of Strategy and Training for Construction Officials signed a letter inviting government personnel to train on these research findings in order to support Action Plan implementation processes.

The second achievement for CCG Vietnam is that the Modelling, Policy, and Political Economy (MPPE) course has been formally integrated into the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) course at the National Economics University, over the past three semesters, spanning five courses. This has led to 139 students taking the course as part of their coursework for the programme, including discussing case studies in their classes with other students. This is an excellent example of one of CCG’s objectives which is to embed CCG knowledge products in academic institutions. The photos above show some of the training sessions in action.
