On Tuesday, 21 October 2025, Tom Russell and Silvia Colombo from the Oxford Programme for Sustainable Infrastructure Systems led the NISMOD steering committee session under the CCG data and tools module.

The two hour meeting involved participants form CCG, University of Oxford, Strathclyde University, and Loughborough University together with partners from the World Bank Group, University of the West Indies, KfW Development Bank and cartONG, Global Center on Adaptation, Oxford Infrastructures Analytics, the Insurance Development Forum and other independent professionals.

The discussions centered on the NISMOD toolkit and its current and future applications for risk and resilience assessment of infrastructure systems. Together with our various partners, we showcased a range of projects that have used the tools and explored opportunities for improvement and future collaboration.

The meeting was concluded by Fynn Kiley presenting the CCG capacity-building unit and its recent activities, such as the OpenLearn Collection, Bootcamps, energy modelling platform and community, in-country workshops, FlatPack and catalyst facility initiative, train the trainer and badges system.

The next step for the group and for the Nismod toolkit is to consolidate the elements identified by the committee, bringing together people, ideas, and suggestions to transform collaboration opportunities into concrete actions.
